Tinnitus Cure Information

tinnitus cureYou may be surprised to know that it is estimated over 36 million Americans suffer from “ringing in the ears,” or tinnitus. People who have this condition may hear the ringing in one or both ears. It may be a constant sound or it might just come and go from time to time. The volume of the sound ranges from a whine to a squeal. For some people, the condition is so serious that it affects their daily lives.

What Causes That Ringing

So what causes tinnitus? You have probably heard the old saying that if you hear a ringing in your ear it means that someone is talking about you? Well, it’s not true. Sometimes a small plug of wax in the ear canal can causes a temporary ringing in the ears. Most people experience this sort of temporary tinnitus at some point in their lives. Other times it may not be such a brief occurrence.

There are many factors such as an allergy, diabetes, a tumor, or a thyroid problem that can cause tinnitus. It can also be caused by blood circulation problems such as high or low blood pressure.

tinnitus causesFor someone who is taking certain medications like antibiotics, antidepressants, anti-inflammatory, sedatives, or aspirin, these medications can also cause tinnitus. If you suspect that taking aspirin is causing a ringing in your ear, you should notify your doctor immediately. Your doctor may need to adjust your dosage according to your size.

Other things that may cause tinnitus include aging or even a head or neck injury. Loud noises are big contributors to tinnitus as well. Do you remember when you were younger you used to have your earphones so loud that other people could hear it? Your parents would tell you that your ears could get hurt? Well, you should have listened to your parents because in this case they were right about it. Exposing your ears frequently to loud noises can cause tinnitus. The damage to the microscopic endings of the hearing nerve in the inner ear generates the ringing sound.

Seeking Treatments for Tinnitus

Treating tinnitus is not easy. It may be different from person to person and depends on the cause as well. In most cases the cause of tinnitus cannot be easily determined even with tests like balance tests, x-rays, and lab work. If your otolaryngologist is not able to find out specifically what causes your tinnitus, he or she may not be able to treat it effectively.

tinnitus treatmentsFortunately,  my free mini-course has more detailed information on nature and permanent cures. For now, there are certain things you can do to make yourself feel better. For example, you should keep yourself from being exposed to loud noises or sounds. You could also exercise regularly to improve your circulation. It is important that you evaluate your blood pressure often and make sure that it stays under control.

Another thing you can do is to limit yourself from taking too much stimulants like cola, tea, coffee, and tobacco. Reduce the salt intake in your diet is also a good idea as salt impairs blood circulation within the body.

The sound from tinnitus is most noticeable when you are in quiet places. To counter the effect the best thing you can do is to make some noise. For example, when you are trying to get to sleep, you can get a device that generate background noise while you sleep or place a ticking clock by your bed.
